Domestic Removals

6 questions answered

What types of domestic removal do you offer?
We handle every type of home move — from studio flats and bedsits through to large 5+ bedroom houses. Our services include full house removals, single-room moves, furniture removals, piano removals and student removals. We tailor the crew size and vehicle to match your specific property.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Yes. We operate across the entire United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Whether you're moving within the same city or across the country, we provide the same high standard of service.
Will you disassemble and reassemble my furniture?
Yes. Our crews are experienced in dismantling beds, wardrobes, dining tables, flat-pack furniture and most bespoke pieces. We reassemble everything at your new home at no extra charge.
Can you move specialist items like pianos or antiques?
Absolutely. We have specialist equipment and trained crews for pianos, antiques, artwork, large mirrors and other delicate or high-value items. Let us know in advance so we can plan appropriately.
Do you offer a man and van service for smaller moves?
Yes. Our man and van service is perfect for smaller moves, single items, eBay or Gumtree pickups, or moving a few pieces of furniture. It's a flexible, affordable option.
Can I book a removal at short notice?
We do our best to accommodate short-notice bookings, subject to availability. For the best chance of securing your preferred date, we recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance.

European Removals

5 questions answered

Which European countries do you move to?
We offer removal services to France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Sweden. If your destination isn't listed, contact us — we may still be able to help.
How long does a European removal take?
Timings vary by destination. Moves to France or Belgium typically take 2-3 days, while moves to Spain, Italy or further afield may take 4-7 days. We provide a detailed schedule with your quote.
Do I need to handle customs paperwork?
For most EU destinations, we guide you through the required documentation. Post-Brexit, moves to EU countries require customs declarations, and we help prepare all the necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth border crossing.
Is my move insured when going to Europe?
Yes. Our comprehensive goods-in-transit insurance covers European moves just as it does domestic ones. We can also arrange additional cover for high-value items on request.
Can you store my belongings before a European move?
Yes. If there's a gap between leaving your UK home and arriving at your European destination, we offer secure short-term storage. Your belongings are held in our CCTV-monitored facility until you're ready.

Quotes & Booking

6 questions answered

How do I get a quote?
You can request a free quote through our online form, by calling us on 0800 123 4567, or by emailing info@ukrapidremovals.co.uk. We aim to respond within 2 hours during business hours.
How is the price calculated?
Our quotes are based on the volume of items, the distance of the move, access at both addresses, and any additional services required (such as packing or storage). All quotes are fixed-price with no hidden fees.
Are your quotes fixed-price?
Yes. The quote we give you is the price you pay — guaranteed. There are no surprise charges on moving day, provided the items and circumstances match what was described when the quote was given.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially for larger moves or weekend dates. Month-end dates are particularly popular, so early booking is advisable.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer, credit card, debit card and cash. Payment is due in full prior to or on the day of the move, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 7+ days before the move receive a full refund of any deposit. Cancellations 3-6 days before retain 50% of the deposit. Within 48 hours, the deposit is non-refundable. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Packing & Insurance

6 questions answered

Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. We supply a full range of packing materials including cardboard boxes in various sizes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape, wardrobe boxes and mattress covers. These can be delivered in advance or provided on moving day.
Do you offer a packing service?
Yes. We offer three levels of packing: full packing (we pack everything), partial packing (we pack specific rooms or items), and fragile-only packing (we pack delicate items like glassware, crockery and artwork). All packing is done by trained professionals.
Are my belongings insured during the move?
Yes. All moves are covered by comprehensive goods-in-transit insurance. This covers accidental damage to your belongings while they are in our care. We also carry public liability insurance.
What happens if something is damaged during the move?
In the unlikely event that something is damaged, contact us immediately. We handle claims promptly and fairly through our insurance. We document the condition of items before the move, and our crews take photographs as standard.
Are there items you can't move?
We are unable to transport hazardous materials (including flammable liquids, gas cylinders and chemicals), firearms, illegal substances, or perishable food items. We'll advise you on any restricted items when you book.
Can I pack my own belongings?
Absolutely. Many customers prefer to pack some or all of their belongings themselves. Please note that our insurance covers items packed by us; items packed by the customer are carried at the customer's risk.
